Quentin Blake: Birthday Biro and Bic!

AOI Patron Sir Quentin Blake is exhibiting a series of new works at Hastings Contemporary.

“Since discovering the rewarding possibilities of drawing with the humble biro, I have spent the past few months creating a series of imaginary portraits using a range of techniques from academic shading to cross hatching. As the first Artist Patron of Hastings Contemporary, I thought it was only right that I took my biro in hand to specially create these ten drawings to celebrate ten wonderful years of this extraordinary gallery.”
