Portfolio Breakfast with Wonderbly
An exclusive Portfolio Consultation for Illustrators with children’s publisher Wonderbly.
Wonderbly is delighted to host a morning of portfolio consultations in their London office. Art Director Paul Coomey, Illustrator Adam Hancher, and Book Designers Michelle Mac and Lucy Ufton will give expert advice in areas including children’s publishing, surface pattern design and editorial.
Your portfolio will be shared in a supportive, intimate, and collaborative environment. Not only will you be able to discuss how to develop your portfolio in your specific area of interest, but you will also be able to chat to others over coffee and breakfast!
Please note: This event is first come first serve, but please only book a place if you can commit to attending the session physically and have clear interest and potential in developing your work in the areas specified above. This event will be delivered physically, face to face only.
About our consultants:
Adam Hancher is Wonderbly’s in-house Illustrator. Having worked in editorial illustration, packaging design, advertising, and animation, Adam eventually found joy for himself in the world of children’s publishing.
Michelle Mac is the Senior Book Designer at Wonderbly. She has over ten years experience working on children’s and adult’s illustrated publishing and she loves working on covers, page layouts, typography and of course collaborating with illustrators.
After studying Animation and Children’s Publishing at university, Lucy Ufton joined Wonderbly in 2020 to pursue her love of storytelling. She is now a Mid-Weight Book Designer and she gets to work on covers, page layouts and chat to lovely illustrators.
Paul Coomey has worked as a Book Designer and Art Director in Children’s publishing for over ten years. He is passionate about picture books and working with talented illustrators from all around the world.
