IN CONVERSATION WITH LAUREN CHILD



In person event hosted by Camberwell College of Art, in partnership with the Association of Illustrators and HarperCollins Children’s Books. Book via our Eventbrite.

 

Join us for an evening with Former Children’s Laureate, Lauren Child, discussing her creative approach to writing and illustrating children’s books. Lauren Child’s talk will be followed by a Q&A with the audience and an opportunity to purchase her new book Clarice Bean: Scram! and have it signed.

Lauren Child arrived on the children’s book scene in 1999. She is the creator of many much-loved characters including Ruby RedfortCharlie and LolaHubert Horatio and of courseClarice BeanShe won the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal in 2000 for I Will Not Ever Never Eat a Tomato and was announced as the tenth Waterstones Children’s Laureate in 2017Clarice Bean: Scram! is her latest edition to the Clarice canon which have received huge critical acclaim since they debuted in 1999, selling over 6 million copies worldwide as well as winning some of children’s books’ highest accolades.

7.10 – 7.30pm – Audience Q&A

7.30pm – Book signing. Copies of Clarice Bean: Scram! will be available to purchase at the event.

A limited number of complimentary tickets will be reserved for Camberwell College of Art Illustration students. Student ID will be required upon entry.
