Fashion Illustrator Elyse Blackshaw Collaborates with Shop from Crisis Peckham to Promote Fashion to End Homelessness
Elyse Blackshaw, a graduate of the Royal College of Art, joins forces with Shop from Crisis Peckham to create an inspiring window installation that champions fashion as a means to combat homelessness. This collaboration has been made possible through the generous sponsorship of Captain Cyan, the UK’s fastest Large Custom Poster Printing business located in Elephant and Castle.
In celebration of the launch of their collaboration with Shop from Crisis Peckham, Elyse Blackshaw will be hosting an in-store fashion drawing workshops on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July at 11.30am-12.30pm. Participants will be provided all the necessary materials kindly supported by Winsor and Newton, a leading art supplies company. Additionally, Elyse will be interacting with customers by illustrating coffee cups at the in-store cafe, adding a touch of creativity to the local’s everyday experience.
With a focus on utilising fashion illustrations to promote sustainability, Elyse Blackshaw has designed and illustrated a captivating window installation using Procreate. The artwork will be expertly printed by Captain Cyan, employing printed Eco-Flex, an environmentally-friendly and fully-recyclable material. The window installation is set to debut on Monday 26th June and will be accompanied by a series of exciting in-store events.
To enrich the immersive shopping experience and reinforce our commitment to ending homelessness, Elyse Blackshaw has crafted striking fashion props using repurposed cardboard, each hand painted. These props will be available for customers to play with in the changing rooms, inviting customers to interact with and appreciate the store’s offerings while highlighting the transformative potential of every purchase in our collective mission to combat homelessness.
