AOI Discusses: Early Career Journeys

29th June 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Your first few years as an illustrator are only the start of your journey. For early-career illustrators, recent grads and final year students, feelings of pressure and hype can be overwhelming. Especially over the past few years, with the impact the pandemic has had on students, it can all feel daunting!

We’re inviting two recent graduate illustrators to share their honest, first-hand experiences; advice on getting started in freelancing; how they found their first clients and opportunities; and what they wish they’d known as new grads.

Our speakers will each deliver a short 15 minute talk on their perspectives of new graduate life, before opening to a Q&A where we’ll take questions from the audience.

Whether you’re graduating this year, a recent grad, or in the early stages of your illustration career, we can’t wait for you to join the conversation.

Please note you do not have to be a student or graduate to attend this event. This event is for anybody who would like to be part of the conversation and gain perspective on how to start their illustration career.

Book your ticket here.
