Drawing Diversity: Community based research
In our recent Diversity and Equality roundtable we understood that some illustrators would value a space to explore how to increase the diversity depicted in their practice. This session is the first of a short series to explore that.
Catalina, in conversation with Montana Forbes, will discuss how she secured the commission and why it was important to her. She will discuss the process of building trust with individuals, and her awareness of the impact of her own identity in that.
The session will provide practical insights into community based research as a route to depicting diverse characters and will allow a space to respectfully discuss approaches to depicting diversity.
If you have any access requirements, please email [email protected]
Tickets will be limited to allow a discussion.
