‘Three years of illustration at Brighton has encouraged us as a group to experiment with a multidisciplinary approach through both still and moving image.
This curated exhibition demonstrates the variety which exists within the field of illustration. Illustration as we understand has grown to become far more than what the word suggests. While drawing has played a massive role in each of our creative development, illustration has given each of us the license to think deeper about media, concept and a wider context.
The course has offered us the opportunity to get to know ourselves better as both creative individuals and as a collective’.
The work within this show does not fit into one box but instead fills a space with concepts around horror, folklore, technology, music, social ideas, personal journeys and so much more.
Birthday Tears represents the immense celebration of our time as a collective and the emotions of this coming to an end and we hope you can join us to share this’.
