2024 | Longlist + Shortlist | Science & Technology

Preferred Pronoun?
She

Why did you choose to enter this work?
Illustration is an appealing and friendly medium. Using it to convey knowledge and introduce TASA, which seems to be a serious organization, makes me feel that this is the best aspect of illustration.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
Starting from scratch to learn about satellite knowledge, and conveying this knowledge through illustrations in a simple and easy-to-understand way, this planning was the most interesting process.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
In my career, I have already won some notable design awards. Being recognized by WIA in the field of illustration makes me very excited!

Where do you usually work?
I usually work in my home studio, where I organize the most efficient work environment, surrounded by things I love, inspiration, and my cats.

How long did it take to complete your project?
This project, from planning the theme to creating the illustrations, was entirely completed by my company, so the whole project took about three months.

What is your dream commission?
I hope to convey more knowledge and ideas through illustrations. Projects like this one , as well as past commissions related to wildlife conservation, are the kinds of projects I really enjoy.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I like to use modern lines, shapes, and colors in my illustrations, and oh, cats too!

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Knowing your strengths is important, not just as a professional illustrator and designer. I've also discovered that I'm good at communicating with clients and project planning.

What are your plans for the future?
I'm currently planning a brand new space for work and living. I hope to have more opportunities to use illustrations and designs to share how to make daily life and living spaces more comfortable.
