Why did you choose to enter this work?
I like to feel the things around me. Life, nature, and the human body are closely connected like nature, brimming with vitality.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I am the child on a long road, with my mother’s graying hair ahead. This journey reflects my feelings about her aging, and I hope it inspires everyone to cherish their loved ones even more.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
Being shortlisted for WIA2023 I felt surprised and encouraged! This means a lot to me! My journey in illustration is about to begin!
Where do you usually work?
I usually create in the quiet of my room, undisturbed, immersed in my flow and enjoying every moment of drawing.
How long did it take to complete your project?
From the initial concept to establishing the painting style, this artwork takes me one to two months to complete.
What is your dream commission?
Whether working with small or large brands, I hope to create animations, photography, illustrations, and designs for them, producing work that is both engaging and full of storytelling!
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I like to illustrate the small moments I see in everyday life—those that are interesting, joyful, or tinged with a sense of melancholy.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Sometimes, pain can inspire even more creativity.
What are your plans for the future?
I hope to become an illustrator, creating warm art, with my secret base in a little corner of the world. I hope my art can inspire others.
