What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I appreciated the freedom the client gave me.It allowed a continuous creative flow without interruptions. The result is a clear freshness and irony that have rekindled enthusiasm and joy for my work.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It is a significant opportunity to showcase my work to a wider audience and to create new opportunities for collaboration.
Where do you usually work?
I have a studio in Milan, close to home. It is cosy, bright and has a large terrace. It inspires and supports me, allowing me to concentrate on projects without mixing work and private life.
What is your dream commission?
Making a cover for the New Yorker of course! However, any project, large or small, can become an opportunity to create something unique and meaningful.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I find it stimulating to draw any subject. I love to use bright colours and textures while incorporating a vintage aesthetic whenever possible.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Always be willing to learn by cultivating passion and curiosity. Build connections with other creatives. Maintain authenticity in one's own style.
What are your plans for the future?
I aim to grow professionally by expanding in publishing and advertising. I seek more diverse projects and collaborations to broaden my creative horizons and achieve new professional heights.
