What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
My mission was to illustrate an important event of 2015 in Budapest which was the migration crisis and the Keleti train station became a transit zone. I was happy I could draw people with emotions.
Where do you usually work?
I usually work at our kitchen table. Sometimes in the attic when my husband gets upset because of the mess I make. :)
How long did it take to complete your project?
A few weeks on and off - whenever I found time between my other job and attending to my kids. :)
What is your dream commission?
An illustration for the New Yorker.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
People in everyday and not so everyday situations when they don't necessarily know that they are being "watched."
What are your plans for the future?
I would like to do editorial work as well as book illustrations.
