Why did you choose to enter this work?
I'm particularly proud of this series and wanted to show it to as wide an audience as possible.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I think this work is the closest I've come to the type of visual communication I set out to achieve when I started illustrating.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
The exposure is very nice and the fact that my work is being compared favourably to some amazing artists is also a huge honour.
Where do you usually work?
I work from home, partly with traditional methods but mostly digitally now, using a Cintiq and photoshop
How long did it take to complete your project?
I think this series took me the best part of 2 weeks to complete, I like to put a couple of days into each of the sketch options and a day or two for each final image.
What is your dream commission?
New Yorker cover would always be nice!
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I've always really enjoyed compositions and concepts
What are your plans for the future?
Keep developing and trying new things
