Why did you choose to enter this work?
This was my first time submitting personal, un-commissioned work to the World Illustration Awards. As my most recent piece at the time, I felt it best represented my style and execution.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
People's response to it. It's fun and cheeky, quite literally! It brings a smile to their faces.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It allows my work to reach a broader audience, gain recognition within the industry, and connect with fellow illustrators and, hopefully, potential clients.

How long did it take to complete your project?
The project took approximately 17 hours to complete, from concept to final execution. Since it was personal work, there were no strict deadlines, providing a refreshing change of pace.

What is your dream commission?
I would love to have my work featured in The New York Times and do a cover for The New Yorker. Contributing to these iconic publications would be an honour and a significant milestone in my career.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Create work that spreads a positive message, is inclusive, and allows you to enjoy your craft.

What are your plans for the future?
To continue expanding my client list, growing my audience, and securing the right agency representation for me.
