Insu Lee is an award-winning illustrator, curator, creative director and professor based in Seoul.
He has worked on various illustration projects for the past 28 years with a wide range of clients including New York Times, Village Voice, HarperCollins Publishers, Samsung, Hanwha Group, KIA Motors, DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza), and many others. His works have also displayed about 60 times in galleries and museums in USA, Asia, and Europe.
He has been consulting and planning special exhibitions, artist talks and seminars at the Seoul Illustration Fair (SIF) since 2015. In particular, he has been planning a global illustration exhibition introducing global illustration trends to Korea. More than 120 top illustrators around the world were invited to this exhibition.
Currently, he is deeply interested in producing distorted portrait and organic abstraction using pencil, acrylic and mixed media as a personal work. He is also active as a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), and teaches Drawing and Illustration at Hongik University in Seoul.
