2024 | Longlist | Book Covers
  • Why did you create this work?
Commissioned by Penguin classics. The Little Clothbound Classics are irresistible, mini editions of short stories, novellas and essays from the world’s greatest writers. Sumptuous, tactile books that evoke a rich heritage of bookbinding while retaining fresh appeal to modern readers; that stand out in bookshops.
  • How were your illustrations used?
My illustrations were used to decorate the covers of the books and as small icons on the title pages.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
I created icons using pencil and ink to represent the stories inside. Which were taken into the computer and made print ready for the foiling onto cloth.
