Why did you choose to enter this work?
The technique I used to illustrate the poems, was special, experimental. 2020-2021 were crucial for many of us. The topic and the poems were carefully selected, related to loss, death and existence.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
The book evoke more attention, and many discussions started to take place about grief processing.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
Getting to know new visually creative thinkers!

Where do you usually work?
My workplace is mostly my desktop and sketchbook. Love to travel, but i always return to my studio table and desktop surrounded by green plants and a dog called Pudding.

How long did it take to complete your project?
I started to sketch for a week or so, but the final drawings I finalised mainly in one month.

What is your dream commission?
I love picture books, book covers, creative projects, and most days I think I do my dream commission ever since I started to illustrate.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I do love to search for new topics.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Explore techniques and feelings!

What are your plans for the future?
To explore creative ways of visual storytelling
