Why did you choose to enter this work?
It presents my favourite topic (birds and plants) and the technique of working with geometry and textures, which I love developing.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
Combining modern, geometric form with the classic atmosphere of old nature engravings.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
Being shortlisted :)
Where do you usually work?
I work from home. I have a simple desk, iMac and iPad. I like it when everything is organized and has its place.
How long did it take to complete your project?
About 3 weeks.
What is your dream commission?
for nature, with nature :)
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by nature, especially birds, and this is what I illustrate most often. I also like surrealism and conceptual things.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Don't forget to draw just for yourself too. Don't overthink about social media and other people's opinions.
What are your plans for the future?
Draw and learn for the rest of my life.
