- Why did you create this work?
I made this illustration as a cover for Salvaje Magazine. This issue was about the loss and grief of a pet as a family member.
The client wanted something beautiful and delicate but also strongly emotive and dark. - How were your illustrations used?

Adara Sánchez is an illustrator based in Bilbao, Spain. She studied Arts and illustration in Seville, Antwerp and Barcelona. The textures and rich color palette she uses in her work are vibrant in contrast with smooth, delicate and elegant lines and figures. She focuses on editorial work and film advertising. Her clients include The New York Times, The Guardian, Nestlé, Amazon or XYZ Films.
