Why did you make this work:
I made this work to explore new techniques – painting with acrylic markers and animate them afterwards. I intended to show the different rhythms in one location affected by the governmental restrictions during the first seasons of the pandemic.

How was the illustration used:
It is used for augmented reality purposes together with the printed backgrounds.

How did you make this work:
I painted the picture with acrylic markers on wood, digitalized it, then added the seasons digitally and afterwards animated the scenes.

Biography:
Sophie Mildner is an illustrator based in Germany. Her work is defined by the play of light and shadow and her sight for atmospheric sceneries. She studied Illustration at the University of Art and Design Burg Giebichenstein and is currently represented by Marsha Heyer.
