Why did you make this work:
The project is an artist collaboration with Ana Tomy, a Malaysian-made stationery brand. As part of the collection featuring artists from across the globe, I was commissioned to create two covers for the planner. The planner comes with an enamel pin and an exclusive illustrated booklet that features my illustration work.

How was the illustration used:
These illustrations are printed on covers and other merchandise products. Each cover is meticulously wrapped by hand with premium book cloth.

How did you make this work:
These illustrations were created digitally with Procreate and Photoshop. I want to create an ease and positive energy for people who use the planners. I took inspiration from my daily routine and messy desk, as we spent more time at home since the Covid-19 outbreak. I used a vivid colour palette to help further highlight the everyday elements and the theme together.

Biography:
Gee Fan Eng is an illustrator who specializes in children’s books and art licensing. She founded her label, Minifanfan, with the notion of making illustrations that make people happy. Happy Drawings for Happy People is Gee Fan’s motto and a mantra that she practices every day in her life and work. Her wonderfully stylized illustrations are endearing, inspirational, and speak to the heart.
