Why did you make this work:
This animation is based on small incidences of The King’s daily life, he meets with different crowd everyday. Today it was a noisy bunch, everyone is busy taking photos and selfies of themselves, but no one truly look at the piece, namely him. He felt a lack of reverence and decided the imminent need to add a 'POST' reminding people of the 'No-photo policy' rule at the Museum.

How was the illustration used:
The animated illustration was initially intended as a personal exploration. During the creation, it also led to other mini stories about his daily incidences eg. The King's Haircut, where I researched into 18th century grooming and hairstyles. The King's 'hard-to-please' personality is reflected in the different situations, which may bring a smile to people.

How did you make this work:
I first created the character, then a story board of the King's daily encounters. I used a frame by frame classical technique to bring The King to life as an animated character piece.
