Hometown

Why did you make this work:
This series of illustrations were created as a love letter to my hometown. I know my hometown like the back of my hand from my years as a child, exploring the ins and outs of every street. This intimacy and familiarity allows me to find beauty in the simple things that others may typically pass by without a second thought. These unique details serve as imprints on how we all see our own hometown.

How was the illustration used:
The series, “Hometown”, was shown as part of the Wall Space project in partnership with Thomasville Center for the Arts in Thomasville, GA.

How did you make this work:
All of my illustrations are created by hand, through a painted paper cut collage technique. All analog, no digital.
