Don't Mess With Our Home

Why did you make this work:
We take for granted the beautiful wildlife, animals and eco systems in which modern man lives. Today's world is now structured by mechanics and technology that our animal predecessors have had to accommodate within. What if the animal kingdom were to morph with our human modern influences ... will evolution take an altered direction between mammals and mechanics for future existence?

How was the illustration used:
This illustration is part of a project titled 'Don't Mess With Our Home' I'm working on with various conservationists to raise awareness of specific issues that face their animal of concern. A study of 24 subjects will dig deep into the impact human activity is having on the natural eco-system and be presented in both gallery and published book form.

How did you make this work:
Through the study of animal illustration I combine fine art, the study of biology, modern mechanics and digital technology. I use a unpin fine liner 0.05mm to document incredible details and seamless synergy between man made and natural forms. Using high tech Augmented Reality platforms the illustrations 'come to life' when viewed through mobile devices.
