Amber Vittoria
Women In The Workplace

Design Product & Packaging

Commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
Amber's poster series leverages colorful portraits of women heading into work. Historically, women are quieted within an office setting; these portraits aim to be a playful nod to celebrate how society has begun to empathize with womanhood. The more we as a society see relatable, expressive representations of working women, the more we can embrace our peers for their individual perspectives.

How was the illustration used:
Commissioned by Facebook for their Design In Residence program, Amber was tasked with creating a poster-driven thesis regarding the topic of empathy. Leveraging a risograph printer, each submitted poster was handprinted by Amber, created for the internal use and visibility at Facebook offices globally.

How did you make this work:
Using Facebook's onsite Analog Lab facilities, each piece is printed by the artist in a limited edition of 5 prints plus 4 Artist Proofs using a Riso 591 U printer. The number of colors vary from 3-5 spot-colors per print.
