Why did you make this work:
For this Collage Serie I put myself in the role of a new world explorer who is confronted to new cultures through rituals, concept of universe, religion and relation with nature. Fascinated with the syncretism in Andean cultures, their traditions, folk narratives and their integral concept of life I started making my own version of a discovered culture.

How was the illustration used:
I create this Serie as an artistic personal challenge. The work has been showed in Löwen.haus Gallery Gerswalde (Germany) and in Senhora Presidenta in Porto

How did you make this work:
I did a lot of sketches to plan characters and forms, then I paint papers with pigments, watercolour and gouache. After that I draw and cut out the figures on paper. Once I define the scene I glue the pieces and finally add details with brushes or pencils. I loved to mix surfaces and line drawing.
