Flyaway is a touching story about freedom. The book has a unique twist: lift-flaps throughout enable the reader to 'free' the bird themselves. When the Princess's bird escapes from it's cage, she chases the bird all around the castle until she captures it in the Garden. Surrounded by all the other birds and wildlife, the Princess sees that there is more to life than a cage and she sets her bird free.
