Last summer I decided to spend 4 weeks creating a series of New York based illustrations. This is a cover pitch/promotional piece showing the diversity and beauty of New Yorkers. While they all may be from different places and cultures, they have one thing in common: New Yorkers are always united, and always on the go!
How was the illustration used: Primarily in self promotion and in social media. Also was exhibited briefly in a gallery with other concept covers
How did you make this work: I always love working on personal pieces like this, with hopes they'll resonate with others. I used my normal methods of work, which include rough work traditionally and final linework and colours digitally. When I do personal projects I really try to experiment with ideas and materials as much as possible
