Why did you make this work:
I was given the brief to design a poster with illustrations for the community art program: Art In the Three Light District. In the program, a series of activities are held: picture book reading, drawing workshops, pop-up theatre, collaborative map drawing, public screening, small publications etc.

How was the illustration used:
Poster, social media promotion

How did you make this work:
In order to make a cheerful tone, I make a series of small and whimsical illustrations each representing one activity, while some are simply passers who live in the community.

Biography:
Yang Sio Maan majored in English Literature in college, and went off to explore illustration afterwards. She graduated with an MA in Illustration from UCA Farnham, UK. Currently, she is based in Macau, working and learning to be a visual storyteller. Her family members include two cats, and she almost naps every day. A slow reader who daydreams a lot, Yang is also interested in growing little plants.
