  • Why did you create this work?
    This series of illustrations was commissioned to illustrate the changing world of battery technology and the huge implications that the use of lithium has on our daily lives and the global landscape. The primary goal was to play with scale and detail to make the humble battery jump off the page.
  • How were your illustrations used?
    These illustrations appeared on the cover, interior spreads and on online articles.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
    Work begins with sketching out the ideas in Procreate, then a basic 3d model is built up to create the basic composition. Final colouring and linework is done in Illustrator and Photoshop.
