Why did you make this work:
The required focus is on the relationship between vineyard and winemakers and how to become one of the 50 best Italian wineries. With the rows I tried to build a decorative and narrative image that encompassed the entire world of the vineyard.

What materials and techniques did you use?:
The image is made in mixed media with watercolor paste and ink on Arches Satin 300gr paper. The lines are drawn on Fabriano 200gr paper, scanned and arranged digitally in Photoshop.

How were your illustrations used:
This illustration is the cover for Food & Wine Italia, the prestigious magazine promoting quality foods and wines around the world.

Biography:
Gianluca Folì is an Italian illustrator who lives and works in Rome. In over 20years of work he has won awards, he held the role of art director in the editorial project Colortelling Epson Calendar and created illustrations for Feltrinelli Editore, Epson, Einaudi Editore, Fendi, Alfa Romeo, Max Mara, Les Echos, Taschen, New York Times OP, Plansponsor and many other clients around the world.
