Why did you create this work?
In 2023 I created a series of illustrations about Greek goddesses and gods, the ultimate divas of Mount Olympus. I have always been obsessed with Greek mythology: the stories are intricate, epic and visionary and all the characters are campy and over the top, so I couldn't help but give my take on them. This series include Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Athena and Hades among others.
How were your illustrations used?
I created this series of illustrations for fun, to practice some character design, and to hone my personal style by exploring one of my favorite topics. I used them to promote my work on my social networks and to enrich my portfolio, as well as selling them as prints in my personal shop.

Biography
Giacomo Agnello Modica is an illustrator based in Milan. His work ranges from picture books to advertising, with a main focus on character designs, portraits and letterings. He worked with Tod's, JCDecaux, Teatro alla Scala, The Quarto Group, Il Sole 24 Ore, Mondadori and many more publishers and agencies. He loves divas, drag and queer culture as well as deep fried food and green, rainy places.
