Why did you make this work:
An illustration for an article detailing the author’s overreliance on apps to navigate his surroundings and relationships. His dependence on Google Maps and Grindr leave him feeling disconnected from the places and people he could know more intimately.

Biography:
Brian Britigan is a Minneapolis-based illustrator, artist, and educator who studied art and animation at the University of Washington in Seattle before earning his MFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Working as a freelance illustrator since 2015, his work has received a gold medal from the Society of Illustrators and News & Documentary Emmy nomination.
