I was provided an article about the practice of pranayama — controlling one’s breath to shift from an aroused state to a more meditative one (based on a research that pinpointed the brain cells behind tranquility-inducing breathing) and was assigned to conceptually visualize the essence of the research outcome.
How was the illustration used: Print and web
How did you make this work: I thought that the best way to express the idea of neurons that connect breathing to states of mind and lead to a sense of tranquility was to use a symbol of a butterfly - a hint to re-birth, revitalization, fragility, and life.
