New TalentWhy did you make this work:
The brief was to create a work that would raise awareness of the 'blind spots' in the city canvas and explore Moscow's ovelooked areas, such as parking lots, junkyards, construction sites and crossroads.
How was the illustration used: Tile samples and drawings were exhibited at a number of local exhibitions where the map was distributed among the visitors.
How did you make this work: The project inhabits overlooked city areas with imaginary spirits that unite traditional mythology and contemporary everyday life. Each spirit is depicted on a ceramic tile 'totem' hidden in the city. The viewers are invited to take an alternative city walking route and find all the tiles using a map.
