She/Her - Why did you create this work?
This work is inspired by the many pets and their owners that I saw on a trip to Brooklyn in 2023. I wanted to capture the charisma, sass and fashion prowess that I saw pounding the pavements of New York. Through the walk-cycles and looping animations, I really wanted to capture the individual energies of the people I saw in the park.
- How were your illustrations used?
This is a self-initiated project, so originally I made the illustration as a poster to sell through my online shop. Whilst making the illustrations, I decided I wanted to take it one step further and turn it into an animated banner - this now sits of the homepage of my website and my portfolio. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I started with a hand-drawn sketch, and then modelled, rigged and animated this all myself in Cinema 4D. - Was this project commissioned?
