He/Him - Why did you create this work?
I was asked by PosterSpy and Plaion to produce a poster celebrating the upcoming launch of the Atari 2600 plus, a more modern version of the original Atari 2600. I was put to task in designing a fun retro poster which showcased elements from old Atari games such as pixel graphics and to show off the new redesigned 2600 plus as a main part of the poster. - How were your illustrations used?
It was used to promote the launch of Atari's 2600 plus games console in the form of a poster, media posts and a physical poster was also giving away as part of a competition to celebrate the release of Atari's new device. - What materials and techniques did you use?
After the initial design phase of drawing roughs in procreate, I started working on this poster with a vector drawing app called Affinity Designer which allows me to create the artwork in vectors and then add textures which were painted on within the same program, working between the desktop version and the iPad version of Affinity Designer. - Was this project commissioned?
