Why did you make this work:
On February 2023 I've been asked to create an illustrated cover for a special issue of Science Magazine about human reproduction. The topics covered by the issue were very broad so the challenge was to show as many aspects as possible of reproductive science, its challenges and its achievements,with an inspiring image that represents the overarching theme: allowing control of reproductive science.

What materials and techniques did you use?:
The image has been realized digitally using both Procreate and Adobe Photoshop.

How were your illustrations used:
The image has been published on April 2023 as the cover of a special issue of Science Magazine.

Biography:
Sara Gironi Carnevale is an illustrator born and based in Naples. Since 2016 she's been making illustrations for editorials, prints, books and campaigns for clients from all around the world. Her clients list includes: Science Magazine, American Medical Association, Scientific American, The Lancet, The New Republic, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Al Majalla, and many others.
