- Why did you create this work?
The brief for this project was to address a problem close to heart using imagery. I chose to tackle the reinvigoration of my local town centre. These conceptualised designs were created with the objective to relieve deprivation by improving the identity of the town in which I live, bringing vibrancy to the area and restoring a sense of belonging and pride in the local community. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations are visual concepts for large-scale imagery applied to local buildings, with multiple uses for locality. Used within a map, it encourages the audience to discover Ipswich by getting lost through the framework. The road infrastructure was adapted to compose various well-known elements of the area to give local people the familiarity and sense of belonging. - What materials and techniques did you use?
The designs were created digitally using apps from the Adobe Suite. - Was this project commissioned?
