Romana Ruban
A Glimpse of the Forgotten Summer

Exploration

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
This illustration was created for an exhibition 'When Everything Matters' by the Pictoric collective. My task was to depict something that gives me hope and keeps the fire burning. It's about childhood and summer holidays in the countryside. So much time was spent on my grandfather's bike there, and my friends laughed, saying it was impossible to ride that fast and for so long without fuel.

What materials and techniques did you use?:
Digital drawing. Procreate.

How were your illustrations used:
This illustration was exposed as a large poster for collective exhibitions by Pictoric during major book festivals: the Book Arsenal in Ukraine and the Frankfurter Buchmesse in Germany.
