- Why did you create this work?
HIMI is a subsidiary company of MIYA, which aims to design painting materials for children and art lovers. This series of illustrations is for coloring sets and calendars. I need to choose a few colors for each set through 80 color makers and use them to make 10 different illustrations. - How were your illustrations used?
This series of illustrations is designed for HIMI's coloring sets, which include 7 markers,10 art museums and their representative works, and brief knowledge about them on the back. We encourage people to color their artworks with limited colors and know more about art history. They've also been used as the brand's calendar. We had several activities in different museums and libraries in China. - What materials and techniques did you use?
Sketch on paper and then color them by computer. At first, I chose art museums as our first topic. Then I put illustrations on the front page, and brief knowledge on the back. People can learn some basic knowledge about art while enjoying their creations. I also chose 7 different markers to let them summarize colors before drawing it. - Was this project commissioned?
