This was originally made for an Instagram art challenge called Folktale Week. I made up a story about this skeleton castaway who got mistaken for a dead body and buried (and eventually rescued).

Biography:
Maki Yamaguchi is a Japanese freelance illustrator based in NY. Raised in Japan and art trained in NY, her work often shows influences from both the Eastern and Western cultures and aesthetics. She uses mixed-media and mostly works in editorial but loves working on wide range of projects.
