  • Why did you create this work?
This book has such a great subtitle! I wanted to juxtapose the simplicity of cabin life with the complexity of achieving that peaceful ideal. Viewed across a crowded bookshop, the cover appears as a basic isolated cabin (spot varnish), but closer inspection reveals the hidden reality of a wild life (featuring debossed illustrations on a cloth cover).
  • How were your illustrations used?
This is a self-initiated re-design of an existing book cover, for inclusion in my portfolio.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
A mix of hand cut paper shapes and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Was this project commissioned?
    Un-commissioned
