She/her - Why did you create this work?
'BANG: The Wild Wonders of Earth's Phenomena' is a large format children's non-fiction book, published by Thames and Hudson. A heavily illustrated geological tour of the beautiful, the dangerous, and the life-giving processes of Earth, BANG is a love letter to the planet that seeks to inspire young earth scientists to see the wonder in the world around them. - How were your illustrations used?
This was a whole book project. - What materials and techniques did you use?
This work was a combination of digital drawing in procreate and hand-marbled paper textures. As well as stippling with light colours on darker backgrounds, I use techniques inspired by printmaking and paper collage. - Was this project commissioned?
