- Why did you create this work?
This project was a collaboration with the writer Eveliina Talvitie. The book is dealing with the sensitivity of a special child and the way life unfolds with observation and imagination. The story is told in first person and this offered a great approach for illustrating. In this work exploring the relationship between the text and image was a key for creating a deeper understanding of the story. - How were your illustrations used?
The work is a picture book. Images were used in the printed book along with the text in Finnish. Book was published by Enostone Kustannus. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used pencils, paper, wooden crayons, cuache paints and photoshop.
Images are mainly done by hand. Final touch and adjustments with photoshop. - Was this project commissioned?
