- Why did you create this work?
ROMY is a lunchbar and brand that seeks to bring their customers from daily life to a world of endless imagination. I brought three characters to life: Romy who takes you on a tasty adventure with her cooking skills. Fidel El Tigre, who loooves to eat. And Luíz the homing pigeon who dreams of being a bird of paradise. They live in ROMY's world of happiness, adventure, fantasy and goodies. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations are used on window stickers, billboards, menus, signage, print advertising, food packaging, social media, website. In other words, all communications of the lunch bar both in print and digital. - What materials and techniques did you use?
The illustrations were sketched with pencil on paper and finished digitally in photoshop. - Was this project commissioned?

Elise Vandeplancke (°1992) is a Belgian illustrator. She creates a visual world that is inhabited by inspiring people, plants and animals. They help her to capture a message or identity into an illustration. She has drawn for newspapers and magazines such as The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic as well as for brands such as Meta. - Where are you currently based?
