- Why did you create this work?
I was commissioned by Rastine Cafe in Vilnius, Lithuania to create prints, postcards, window displays, paper block design, and a children’s activity book about fungi and biodiversity. The collection underscores the crucial role mushrooms play in the ecosystem, and all proceeds of the project are donated to the Ancient Woods Foundation which preserves Lithuanian old forests from felling. - How were your illustrations used?
My illustrations have been sold as prints and postcards, turned into objects, and exhibited as window displays and store decorations. They have also been applied to paper blocks and printed in children's activity book. The project aims to educate the audience about fungi and preserve their natural habitats by collecting donations. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used Pixelmator Pro and Wacom tablet as my digital drawing tools and created all the illustrations using them. Window displays and decoration objects were handcrafted from recycled wood panels and cardboard. - Was this project commissioned?
