- Why did you create this work?
Tradition meets contemporary energy in the vibrant world of Daryl Rainbow’s latest illustration series, “Neo Neo Classical Hackney,” where the spirit of a typical Hackney Summer comes alive. Drawing inspiration from famous Romanticist and Neo Classical works, Daryl captures the essence of common scenes in a dramatically amplified fashion, depicting the chaos that unfolds during the peak of summer. - How were your illustrations used?
They were created as personal work. One of the illustrations was featured on the cover of LONDONR magazine. - What materials and techniques did you use?

Filipino-born and raised in East London, Daryl studied illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, and now lectures Ravensbourne University on their BA Illustration course. His distinctive style covers a range of topics including sports, politics, lifestyle and entertainment, combining a clever hint of satire with a vibrant and textural approach. - Where are you currently based?
