- Why did you create this work?
This piece started with a thought about what happens if you read late at night. If ghosts are around on a dark, spooky night, will they join my late-night reading? Focusing on light and texture, I created a fun, dream-like piece in my illustration style. - How were your illustrations used?

Cindy Kang is a New York-based illustrator and picture book artist from Seoul, South Korea. Since graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Illustration, she has created artworks for various clients in editorial, advertising, publishing, and children’s books. Her works have received awards from The Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, 3x3 Magazine, among others. - Where are you currently based?
