she/her - Why did you create this work?
In 2020 I started studying Tarot, became passionate and wanted to create my own deck. I thought it would be a great challenge to try to break away from what I have always represented and measure myself with new themes. I wanted to focus on the composition and especially on color, in anticipation of printing them (possibly by the end of 2024) in a deck and being able to have a physical object. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations are a personal project. The originals on A3 size paper are for exhibitions, and I will use the digital files to print them in a deck hopefully by the end of 2024. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used watercolors that I produce myself starting from pure pigments mixed with arabic gum. For the white I used acrylic paint. - Was this project commissioned?

Simona Iamonte, aka Andy McFly, is a painter and illustrator based in Turin. She graduated in painting and attended the Academy of Fine Arts. Among the selected clients: Il Sole24ore, Bompiani, Maciste Dischi, Futura Corriere, Vice Magazine, Audible, Sofar Sound Milano. She enjoys working in multiple fields ranging from publishing to social media, and collaborate with musicians, poets and artists. - Where are you currently based?
