What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
The feedback from the hospital that patients and staff have noticed an immediate and positive impact.
What materials did you use?
Sharpie marker and Adobe Illustrator
What processes did you use?
Sharpie doodles converted to vector art for layout and color..
How long did it take to complete your project?
3 months!
Why did you choose to enter this work?
This is the most satisfying and important project I have worked on because it helps young people with chronic illness.
What are your plans for the future?
I am working with the children’s hospital to produce a children’s story and activity book using characters from the mural.
What is your dream commission?
To see my art on a skyscraper.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Keep making work that you love and promote it.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Dogs and frogs are my go to animals when I’m playing in my sketchbook.
